Using Wix Velo, add filters to a website to sort through products, instantly updating search results.

Video Transcript:

Hello everyone!

In this video, I would like to show an example of how the filters built using Velo can work on Wix. In this example, we created an online store of shoes using a repeater and a database. The data is retrieved from a Google Sheet. To see an example, please check out our other videos.

As you can see, on the left-hand side, you have the bar of filters. We added multiple options with different types of inputs, each working differently and adding a different user experience. In this example, we have brands, sport, gender, color, size, and price. Since the number of brands is generally extensive, we added a search bar to make it easier to find the wanted brand.

As you can see, when you click on the brand, it will filter out all of the other brands not selected. You can combine multiple filters to be able to get only the items that you wish to see. Let's say, for example, I would like to see only Nike shoes that are for basketball and for men. This will bring me, as you can see, only this item. Of course, you can deselect a filter by just clicking on the cancel button on the filter above the products.

You can also reset all of the filters by clicking on the "Reset Filters" button above the filters bar. The applications are numerous, and there is actually no limit to what you can do. For example, you can add tags, sliders, search bars, and so on.

Velo gives endless possibilities to what you can add to your website, from adding functionalities to third-party integrations. Please check out our other videos to see more examples of how Velo can enhance your website and your clients' customer experience. Thanks for watching!
